Eight members - six nurses and two occupational therapists - departed on Wed., Jan. 27, from Miami International Airport, bound for a new 200-bed makeshift hospital in Port-Au-Prince set up by the University of Miami's Global Institute.

First Team of Nurses Travel to Haiti

A team of eight SEIU nurses, including four from Local 1991, traveled to Haiti on Thursday, January 21, to assist in the ongoing medical relief efforts as the island nation struggles to recover from the 7.0 earthquake that destroyed Port-au-Prince earlier this month.
